I woke up by an invitation to go running with my roomie Katie, I originally denied her but decided I should not be a lazy bum. So I got up and we headed out, I am so glad I did. We saw a bunch of men riding on horse back up to the park so we decided to run along side them because they were beautiful (the horses, not the men). However the men were not too shabby themselves. As we were running one of them said something to us but we were both wearing our headphones so as Katie was just giggling and I took my headphones off and asked what he said. He then said, in his cute accent, "Would you like a ride?" I laughed and responded that would be great! But then we just kept running. If I wasn't so flustered by the cute British man on horseback talking to me I might of said something witty like, that would defeat the purpose or you just want me to put my arms around you, something like that but alas, no witty flirting back. However he gave me a good smile and continued to watch me jog away. I also got a lingering smile from the horseman leading the group. I love getting flirted with as I go running.
After that great start we got on the Boat tour that was part of our bus tour and headed out to Greenwich Village. Here are a few pictures from the tour. I hate them all but because I love you guys I will share.
We headed straight for the Greenwich market, as soon as we got some food at a recommended pub on the beach. The Greenwich market is pretty much a flea market with people selling homemade pieces as well as vintage jewelry, clothes, household items, food, pretty much everything. One thing I did discover is that I am horrible at haggling, like really bad. I just feel so guilty. All together it was a very successful trip and I am very pleased with my purchases of earrings, a pin that I would like my mom to make me a necklace with, as well as a ring that I am really hoping is silver but I really cannot tell.
We then got to see Hamlet at the Globe. I have never seen Hamlet performed. I still am at odds as to whether or not I liked it. I think I just couldn't handle the fact that the actor for Hamlet was so short he looked like a hobbit. Haha
Today we took a train out to the coast. Day trip to Brighton! We walked strait out to the beach. It was wonderful. There is something so therapeutic about the ocean. I just let it wash over me. The beach was all rock, no sand, it was so strange but beautiful still the same. After we walked on the beach we found a fish and chips stand on the beach. It was delicious. What better thing to do than to take a nap on the beach after eating all that fried food. It was a lot more comfortable than you would think. Here are a few pictures from the beach and the pier and the palace.
It was a little bit chilly so I borrowed Katie's jacket. I got a little toasty but I am hoping it will turn into a tan. It was a great day in Brighton. I am thoroughly pleased. Off to bed, I have a busy day planned tomorrow.
